FRIDAY 6th Scarecrows out by today please. If anyone would like to display their scarecrow in the Churchyard contact Jean 710322.
SAT. 7th 10am – 5pm. To start the week, bring an A5 photo/image of your scarecrows into Church please to go onto the Scarecrow wall. Teas and coffee. Bring and Buy Plants/books/bric a brac. Exhibition on the theme of birds. Flower displays and Tea for Two entries.
SUN. 8th 3pm to 5pm and also daily for the rest of the week ( Exhibition etc., as above).
TUES. 10th EVENING 7.30 pm. For all you bird lovers, Stephen Moss our local bird specialist who is an author and television producer of Natural History will talk about bird watching in our area. Tickets £5 on the door.
WED. 11th EVENING. 7.30 pm. Questions about your Garden; This year we have chosen to concentrate upon growing and cultivating advice for flowers and vegetables in the Garden. David Rowsell of Cheddar Garden Centre and local Lizzie Harris will give their expert advice. Tickets £5 on the door.
FRI. 13th EVENING. 7.30 pm. An informal evening of poetry. Come and listen to poems or bring a poem you would like to read. Tickets £5 on the door.
SAT. 14th 10am to 12pm. To end the week, come to the Grand Coffee Morning and Cake Sale. Bring and Buy cakes (and recipes swap) Final vote for your favourite Scarecrow. Refreshments and Exhibition etc., continues 'til 5pm.
SUN. 15th 6pm. Celebration Service followed by wine, cheese and strawberries. All welcome.
Thank you all for taking part and making this a great Community Event.
Please take down your Scarecrows by Mon 16th if possible.
(All proceeds from the week will go towards the renovation of the Church drive to improve wheelchair access).
